Author Submissions 2008

Thank you for your interest in Books by the Banks 2008.

Our mission: To celebrate the joy of reading and books.

The festival is a one-day event, to be held in the Duke Energy Convention Center in downtown Cincinnati on Saturday, November 1, 2008

 

All participants are expected to be available to sign books from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, with breaks.

 

Some participants will also be invited to do readings or to be part of a panel discussion.

How to be considered (complete both steps):

Step 1: Submit Electronically:

• Completed submission form
• E-mail head shot /publicity photo (jpg or gif perferred)
• E-mail relevant reviews or press releases

Step 2: Send Hard Copy:

• Copy of printed submission form (please press print before submitting electronically)
• One copy of the book to be featured
• Send to:

All materials become the property of the festival committee and cannot be returned.

How are authors selected to participate?

The Selection Team is comprised of book and media professionals in the Cincinnati area.

The goal of the team is to create a festival with a balance of genres, audience age ranges, and local interests.

 

Selected books must be available through Borders regular distribution procedures.

Self-published books are rarely considered. We are not including books of poetry at this time.

 

The Selection Team will review the submissions and invitations to participate will be extended as selections are made. Invitations to participate will be sent by June 15, 2008.
